Analise Schrader. Midwest Photographer —
Residing in Lincoln, NE, Analise is a photo journalist who uses her love for people, food, & the arts to create imagery that is emotional and honest. Using both digital and film in her wedding & family portrait documenting process, each gallery is totally unique with an array of different techniques displayed.
These days, Analise spends most of her time at home on their family farm with her daughter, Jovi, enjoying things like cooking, tending to her garden, hosting, and reading. They are embracing new aspects of life by starting a small-scale homestead, and returning to the concept of slow-living with observing eyes and open hands as they learn and grow in all the challenging, yet rewarding aspects of raising animals and growing food.

Analise has spent the last 4 years celebrating and documenting over 200 experiences - from families to weddings - and plans to continue producing imagery from her perspective on life, as her work morphs and changes with each new experience.

Analise approaches family portraiture the same way she would with her own family - documenting to remember the little details (tiny fingers, toes, the energy of a 2-year old) and leaves room for the imperfectness of children's curiosity. There is very little prompting during these sessions, and often times she will allow the younger children to set the pace for the session.
This is a gentle approach to family portraits - honing in on the personality of each member of the family, rather than formal family portraits.
